What is a good SAT score?

What is a good SAT score?

That's a great question!

A good or GREAT SAT score depends on who you're asking. We think that a good SAT score is about 2100+.

Each section will give you between 200-800 points, making a perfect score 2400.

For an average student, an average score is about 500 per section - so 1500. That was very close to the national average in 2011. BUT, you want AN AWESOME score don't you? A good SAT score will only get you so far, but a GREAT SAT score will get you even more exposure to the college of your choice. The higher the SAT score the better.

You can boost your score in each of the three sections:

SAT Critical Reading
SAT Mathematics
SAT Writing

By increasing one or all of these score sections gives you a MUCH better overall SAT score. So what is a good SAT score? The one you get the next time around - after studying with our SAT materials. In fact, we guarantee you'll get a higher score, or your money back!
